Chicken and Mushroom Soup for Cats | Nutritious Homemade Recipe

Furry Feast Chicken & Mushroom soup

Ingredients:

  • 1 small chicken breast (about 300g)
  • 150-200g white mushrooms
  • 500ml water
  • 1 tablespoon Kōrure pet bone broth powder
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

  • Garnish:
  • Fresh parsley (chopped)
  • Turkey treats (crumbled)

Method:

  1. Start by preparing the ingredients: rinse the chicken breast thoroughly under cold water, then cut it into mince. Clean the mushrooms and slice them thinly.

  2. In a medium-sized pot, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced mushrooms and cook them for about 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they begin to soften.

  3. Once the mushrooms are cooked, add the chicken mince to the pot and sauté with the mushrooms for another 3-4 minutes until the chicken is lightly browned.

  4. Pour the water and bring the mixture to a boil. Reduce the heat to a simmer, add some of the chopped parsley, and let it cook for about 10 minutes to allow the flavours to meld.

  5. Add the soup into a blender and blend until smooth.

  6. Add 1 tablespoon of Kōrure pet bone broth powder into the soup and mix well. This enhances the flavour and provides additional nutrition for your pets.

  7. Let the soup cool down to a safe temperature for your pet. Portion out the chicken and mushroom soup into your pet's serving dish.

  8. Finally, garnish the dish by sprinkling the chopped parsley over it and crumbling a small amount of the turkey treat on top for an added flavour boost.

    Tips:
  9. Ensure all ingredients are suitable for your pet's dietary needs and consult with your veterinarian if unsure.
Serve the dish at room temperature to avoid any risk of burns.
Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days, or in the freezer for up to 14 days.
